Darren was born and bred into the industry in Chester, North England. He started his apprenticeship in the infamous Ivy in London getting trained under ‘The Executive Chef’ Gary Lee. After 5 years at the Ivy he moved back to his hometown to work in the renowned Michelin Star restaurant ‘Simon Radley Restaurant’.
He took his first head Chef position at Bar Lounge and was part of establishing 3 more restaurants within the company over 4 years. Deciding to travel
Darren came to Australia and came as far as Noosa and never looked back.
He spent four years in the Rococo Kitchen in Hastings Street moving into the head chef position in the last year of his time there.
He then came on board with Pascal and Kristie Turschwell in the creation of Bombetta in September 2017.
